I think Elsom deserved a spot...he contributed as much as he has done playing the past 3 years ...only this week didnt make 1 mistake.

Are you allowed to say Beauden Barrett beats off stiff competition?

This is a family website.

What happened to your bubbling under list of players?

Not a bad list to start off with though.

Go the mighty Blues!!!

Didn't even know Dom Shipperly was on the field until 79.50mins into the game.

Tom Donnely was worth a mention.

Ranger had too many handling erros and though Robbie Fuen outplayed him.

@ Jaystarr. Are you serious abvout Poloto-nau? Very overrated in my opinion.

@cuw31, I do agree that they can not put somebody that played at 13 in position 12. It will be intersting to see the people how just missed out and then they end up on the bench. . .

@Jaystarr, I have to agree with you about Aplon. He had great cross defense and showed great vision on attack...

I though the stand-out performance of the first round was Siya Kolisi, shame he does not get a mention.

JayStarr says...

I think Kieran Read did better than Kaino in that match, Polota-nau (who scored a brilliant try, which wasn't allowed) was better than Rutledge and that there were a whole host of No.1 props who were better than Dean Greyling... Steven Kitshoff, Ben Alexander, the guy from the Chiefs, Dale Chadwick - to name but a few. And perhaps Gio Aplon's brilliant individual try and heroic defense was enough for him to get the nod ahead of Israel Dagg..?

Otherwise - good list!
