Dusatoir really is worth every penny! So impressed ~I would give him player of the tournie so far, closely followed by Sam Warburton...but, 2 games each to go!!

As far as the scrum goes i believe you just do whatever you can get away with so fair play to Adam Jones. As for him being a better scrummager than Corbisiero thats not even up for debate but give Corbs a couple of years in the shirt and he'll be top notch. I can still remember the days when Adam Jones could only manage half an hour before he was spent, and the Welsh scrum was one of their achilles heels, even if you can't 'makemehappy'.

@lawynd - I understand your points regarding the 15 shirt, but Kearney is just a better player than Foden. There is a huge amount of evidence now. Foden has talent, but seems to have limited rugby intelligence. Lots of pace certainly, which gets him out of trouble quite often. He's really is playing well below club level at the moment though.
As for the scrum. There were a few occasions where this happened. It didn't happen all day. Sadly the scrums have become a joke, with referees not knowing what to do, or chosing to ignore the obvious. Last time the two met, Corbisero drove downwards and one lots of penalties. The only person who didn't know this was the ref! No doubt that Adam is the better scrummager - again just look at the evidence.

@makemehappy - swap Foden and Kearney and give them each a start with the other's team, and then see how they look. Foden's not on form at the moment and Kearney is, that's all, and the Lions is still 16 months away. As for the Welsh props, whilst I agree that they're great players I wonder how the scrums would have gone if Jones hadn't been allowed to bind on Corbisiero's arm all afternoon?

@Saint_Andre91. Agreed re Dusautoir. 19 tackles apparently. But bloggers talk about the 1 he missed on Hogg. Perfect. Long may it continue. Underestimate this man at your peril :)

@Seabass: Cetic team of the week or 6N team of the week?
Very surprised to see that no Frenchman / Englishman / Italian made your pack. Especially when you see how the Scottish scrum was destroyed in the second half, how the England pack kept up with its Wales counterpart, or how Sergio Parisse stood head and shoulders above any other number eight this weekend, albeit playing for a losing side.

Can't see many arguing with Kearney now being the Lions fullback. I was amazed that some people thought Foden would be first choice. After 3 games of the 6N's I think those people will have to admit they got it badly wrong!!
I'm pleased to see the Welsh props have reminded everyone that they are a truly top class team!
I'm surprised to see Phillips mentioned. Can't believe anyone thought he had a good game. Just looked slow, which isn't good for the type of game Wales play.

Mas, Servat and Debaty weren't so shabby in those final 20 minutes!! Still. Don't mind. The Welsh props were good too. And Ford played 70 odd minutes. Happy for us Frenchies to stay well below the radar screen. Ire and Eng front rows won't know what's hit them....

APV1 i disagree. What Sexton managed to do in terms of scoring points and creating opportunities was better than what Farrell managed to do. But the reason he is in and Sexton isn't is because Farrell did it in a tight bruising game against world class opposition whereas Sexton was playing against a rubbish Italian team! All the irish fans on here have criticised Ashton in the past for only scoring against weak opposition and yet when Sexton plays well against equally weak opposition you're bouncing off the walls because he's not in the team of the week! Mind you its what we've come to expect i suppose because of course Ireland, Irish clubs, Irelands provinces, and Irish players are the 3 best things in european rugby.

For those who doubt Dussautoir belongs to this team of the week, please do your homework and watch the video again. He was outstandind - tackled relentlessly, put the Scots backwards all by himself on several occasions, number one ball carrier for France (10 carries), gaining ground whenever he touched the ball even though he didn't make any flashy break. Deserved Man of the Match award IMHO.

@ tuco - what happened to Chabal, my friend? Are you missing him? Don't worry, he'll be back soon - he was just having a jolly in OZ.
With regard to the Farrell : Sexton debate, I think we can all agree that Sexton is the more accomplished 10 and scored more points. But the article did use the caveat of, "...but for another outing that belied his years..." In other words, he played beyond expectation and, arguably, better than all the other 10s on show. As such, he gets the nod. No-one's doubting Sexton's ability, but he didn't exceed expectation, nor do anything "extra special" (he's always that good). That's why OF was chosen and Sexton was runner-up.

What is this obsession with Mike Philips!!! Dickson (A novice at international level) completely outplayed him in my opinion.

Surprising number of scots given that they're incapable of actually winning a game. They're a terrible rugby nation. Farrell's selection over Sexton is disappointing but not surprising. PR writers are salivating at the thought of Wilkinson mark 2.

I think it says a lot of the english performance when wales win a triple crown at twickenham and only 3 welsh make the list here. While im glad we won, England clearly have some youngsters of their own that are stars waiting to happen.
On a separate note, Lancaster MUST be instilled as English coach at once. Rob Andrew MUST be removed at once.

Nice to see some Englishman in the the team of the weekend for a change. It has not been happening much in recent times. Evidence alone that Lancaster is on the right road. Give him the job I'd say

Watched the French game and I'm amazed Dusaitoir made it ahead of Ferris. Back to his bulldozing-line-breaking best. Rennie was standout for me in terms of the Scottish pack. Cannot wait for this time next year when Lions fever is in full tilt.

If people are going to be out of position then surely Halfpenny justifies the wing spot more than Hogg. I would have Halfpenny in anyway regardless. I thought Stephen Ferris has been overlooked quite a bit this week, he did a lot of great work, as did Zanni, if not only for his lineout take, handoff and one handed offload that effectively set up Parisse's try. 9s in all were a bit off this week. Blair looked the best before he got injured and Reddan looked useful in patches when he came on but everyone else was neither here not there.

What about the tackle Dusatoir missed on Hogg?
Owen Farrell was decent. But the English backline didn't play as well as Ireland, Wales, France or Scotland

Philips was very slow getting the ball away and allowing England to pressure the backline. He should have been subbed and we will lose agains france if he plays like that again.
