Echo alot of posts here ,hard to see just what Australia are building.Most pressing need is good front row props ,and has been for 10-12 years .To my mind that is a scandal,that it isnt / hasnt been solved.Australia relied on individual performances really in the latest series Genia in the 1st test,Barnes in the 2nd,and in the 3rd where just as bad as Walesi imo,Still beleive Deans is a excellant coach ,but the lack of up ancomming class in depth in Australian rugby is frightening compard to most nations,and doesnt really bode well for the comming yearsWith what Deans has he has done a very good job imho

robbie the walking rugby cliche - building, developing, young players, I see in the media he's also 'Deans Fears Welsh Backlash' about the end of year tour. First things first Robbie, like Argentina, NZ and South Africa.

In general, we've seen so many backlash stories - everyone fears them!

Dont worry Paddy O'brien will pull the strings & get them just the sort of ref they want for the series "that should keep them in the competition"

@costa

In terms of tries scored between Aus v Wales in tests Aus has only 2 more, Gee thats a lot of penalties mate Haaaaaaaaaa.

Unless Deans is building is building a pack - Pocock accepted - that doesn't consist of discards from the Malibu Stacey bin and held together with marshmallows and the tears of little puppy dogs, like the current version, then it's going to be a long Championship for him.

Also, it doesn't reflect well on Rugby's supposed global presence when a team as decidedly average as this one can be ranked in at 2. Or is that a fault of the rankings system?

The wallabies are building? Cmon deans - we're so tired of this crap. Your team will get hammered by the All Blacks and the Boks. Watching the wallabies makes me want to puke. No attacking skills at all. Mediocre. How many times did the wallaby wingers get their hands on the ball? Did you know the AB's scored more tries in that one game compared to the entire series btw the Wobblies and Wales? How about that idiot Horne who by the way was lucky to have grounded the ball. The replay clearly showing a free Digby on the outside - what pathetic idiots the wallabies have. Get a hiding - give up the tri-nations tropy you losers. Losing to Scotland - pathetic. I still cant believe the Wobblies are 2nd in the world and the current tri-nation champions. What Joke ! And as for Robbie - double joke!

rd very charitable here. wales - 'The Welsh play 80 minutes' and 'they are capable of beating any side in the world'

make me laugh; could, should, but don't. Can't.

The Wallabies ran hot and cold (mostly cold) during the Welsh Test Series but it is a good base to build from. Their team work was good at times, poor at others, and more often than not it was only individual brilliance (from Genia, Barnes and Pocock) that set them apart from the Welsh). They'll need much more than individual brilliance to stand a chance of beating the All Blacks... They'll need a complete performance.

Building? Not sure what exactly.

Maybe a sandcastle at low tide based on a loss to Scotland and a couple of one pointers which could have gone either way against Wales?

Or maybe building to take Dingo to the ARU vet to be put down?
