most underrated player in rugby. everytime he touched the ball there was a chance of a try.

Good luck Fourie!

Pity that, a bit of an unsung hero, but you knew if Fourie was playing that SA would be solid in defence and test you to the limit in attack. Perhaps like many he has realised that you can't play full on top level all the time (Lets face it at 29 he's probably at the peak of his powers a blend of pace and experience) couple of years of less testing rugby may extend his career.Good luck to him.

Big loss for the Boks but also an opportunity for some new talent. I fear Heyneke Meyer is placing too much faith in the old war horses like FDP, Matfield etc. SA has some great young talent coming through - let's harnass it and leave the old toppies to accumulate their retirement savings.

I thought clubs were not allowed to stop their players from playing international rugby?

Glad he is not ruling out return beyond that. If Boks had used their backline to full effect then Fourie would have scored a lot more tries. Great player and right now him and F.Steyn would make a great centre partnership for Boks.

Good man, he summed it up right there in saying South Africa has some incredibly talented centres at their disposal and it is their time now, good loyalty shown to his new club as well.
